Kamchatka

We are so excited to reopen Kamchatka’s ONLY full Fly-Out Lodge program

We will be offering 4 weeks from mid August to mid September.  These are the most prime dates available.  After the rainy bug season and before the cold.

Rainbows From Above Fly-Out Lodge. Operating from 2014 until Covid we had 6 seasons of incredible adventures on both coast of the peninsula. Strategically located on beautiful Two Yurt Lake, we have access to dozens of untouched trophy trout streams within 30 miles of the Lodge. While the rivers of Alaska are flooded with fisherman, our rivers are flooded with fish and just waiting to be explored. Forget jumping into a plane at the crack of dawn to arrive second, third or fourth in line. The amount of remote wilderness available is shocking. We have an exclusive 49-year lease as the only outfitter allowed within hundreds of square miles of our Lodge.

We hand-craft every remarkable adventure we offer. You and three other lucky anglers will have private use of our leased MI-2 helicopter. Access is the key and there is no better way than flying to the river by chopper. Each night we will pour over the map of northern Kamchatka discussing the possibilities and your ambitions for the following day. Would you like to fish a river with lots of braids and back channels? No problem! Want a little river with abnormally large fish? It is yours! Perhaps begin the morning catching 5-10 pound Dolly Varden every cast and finish the day casting to rising native 25-inch Rainbows? Let’s do it!

Now secretly famous amongst our guests rivers such as the Nelson, Ali(greatest of all time),Starichok, Shishey, Levaya, Rasssoshina and countless others are only a short flight away. These rivers are completely untouched and unfished. We simply have ‘varying degrees of great’ from which to choose.

Check out what Fly Fisherman Magazine had to say about our fishing!

5 Best Trout Fishing Spots in the World

Sick of plastic beads? We do not use them, ever. The Rainbows of Kamchatka are refreshingly naive and behave as if everything is real and yummy. Most of these fish will die of old age without ever having seen a fly or fisherman. Our Rainbows charge aggressively after flies of all varieties. Every part of the trip feels wild and exciting.

Each day you, three other anglers, and your American Guide will have the time of your lives sampling a wide range of unique river systems and incredible fisheries.

This trip is the ultimate in exclusive with only four anglers per week maximum. Our day is catered around your ability to wade the streams. You may choose to walk three miles or just 400 yards of river; our helicopter can pick you up just about any place you stop.

Rainbows From Above Lodge is located in one of the most beautiful valleys in all of Kamchatka.

Imagine having your own private Brooks Lodge in Katmai National Park. Well, this is it. We have a wonderful facility that includes private cabins, natural hot springs on site, bear viewing platforms and a lake full of Salmon and Char. Our Lodge was featured in National Geographic Magazine as one of the most important Sockeye Salmon and Brown Bear areas on Kamchatka. Flights into the nearby mountain valleys provide breathtaking panoramic displays: Tamarack and Birch forests, waterfalls, snow-capped mountains, glimpses of glaciers and tarns, and Salmon-rich gin clear streams.

Our pilots have an average of 25 years of experience flying on Kamchatka; safety is our number one concern.

Each day both our pilots and on-sight engineer ensure our helicopter is running perfectly. The twin engine MI-2 stays with your group the entire time and is designed to carry as many as eight passengers plus the pilot.

"I have fished for Bonefish at every imaginable location. Lost Key Lodge is the pinnacle of remote and unspoiled, yet so close to home. If you are looking for that one huge Bone and monster Permit this is the place.”
